  • About Simba Nursery in Abu Dhabi

We proudly present the ‘Simba Nurseries’ brand of Early Years Education. Starting with brand new facilities in Abu Dhabi, the first Simba nursery is now open in
    Al-Nahyan Camp.

Simba Nurseries in Abu Dhabi boast a high-quality, friendly, and honest approach, where parents can trust that their child will “Play, Learn, and Grow” while cared for in a specially-designed environment that values safety above all.

The Simba Promise to parents and the Simba Codes of Essential Practice ensures a high standard of care and early years education, and guarantees the best for each little royal club we have the privilege to have in our pride! The core values of Simba Nursery are embodied in our codes of essential practice that are at the heart of everything we do.

Our resources and learning materials are carefully selected to meet our criteria:

    – Safe, all-natural (non-toxic), and conducive to sensory stimulation and open-ended learning experiences.
    – Our nursery has indoor and outdoor facilities which are safely and creatively designed.

We take our relationships with parents and partners very seriously, and we pledge to maintain confidentiality at all times, ensuring that we build trust and confidence.

The children’s delight at being at the nursery will speak for itself!

  • Our Philosophy

We believe that children learn best through play, where the imagination opens up each child’s mind to absorb new experiences.

We believe that a child learns through valuable, engaging, sensory-based play experiences.

We believe that unlocking the senses will in turn maximize learning. Therefore, we aim to offer a program which is carefully designed within the framework of the UK’s national curriculum, Early Years Foundation Stage with a focus on play.

This Early Learning program based on EYFS enriches the 7 areas of learning with a high focus on development through play and carefully-planned activities.

  • Mission - Vision - Values

Our mission is to deliver a quality early years education with highly-experienced staff, high-quality resources, and the safest possible environment. We employ assessments and individual learning goals, and plan activities that offer opportunities to children of all learning styles.

Our vision extends beyond the nursery environment in our commitment to engage with both parents and the community. There is no better reward for us than to see those children in our care flourish and develop a solid foundation for learning; growing to meet their full potential.

    At Simba Nursery, we value…

…each child as a capable individual full of ideas and knowledge.
…the education of children at every age.
…the reciprocal learning of children and adults.
    …life-long learning for all.
…safe and compassionate care to nurture the growth of each child.

I believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life and should have the support that enables them to fulfil their potential. As a teacher I take theindividual needs, interests and stage of development of each child and use this information to plan a fun, challenging, relevant and motivational learning experience for each child.

For a while I have worked as a volunteer teaching English for little kids who could not afford a course.

In Simba I found my real passion for teaching little children and I have been working as a substitute teacher since the beginning of 2017.

I believe that the quality of education a person receives in early life is indispensable in bringing out that person’s potential and all children should have access to quality learning, care but most of all lots of love.

I think children need to experience different sorts of methods and activities to achieve all the areas of learning and develop a confident student for the rest of their lives.

My name is Ema and I joined Simba Nursery in February, 2017.

I obtained my bachelor degree in Switzerland and have always had a strong passion for the education of young children.

Growing up in Singapore and Abu Dhabi has given me the opportunity to gain a culturally diverse perspective on all things in life, and I believe it is one of the most important lessons I have learnt.

I feel I can strongly relate to the kids given that they come from all over the world, and will have gained the same experience as I did, helping them grow and expand their knowledge. I’m dedicated in making sure they learn from me as well as their peers, through means of social interaction, and hope to inspire them to develop their creativity and independence.

  • Where do the children learn and play?

The nursery is organized into specially-designed indoor and outdoor spaces that enhance children’s learning.

The indoor areas are always set up with quality, stimulating, age-appropriate resources. Children are free to choose from these areas throughout the day. This ‘free flow’ play allows children to make their own choices and decisions and follow their own interests, which is more beneficial to the children’s learning than simply being instructed what to do.

Teachers will also organize focused activities every day. Children will work with an adult in small groups on an activity appropriate for their age and ability

The outdoor area offers opportunities for doing things in different ways and on different scales than when indoors. Children have the freedom to explore, use their senses, and be physically active. Being outdoors has a positive impact on the children’s sense of well-being and supports development in all areas of learning.
